Congratulations to our officers. Remember, even if you are not an elected officer, your group still needs your help. It takes all of us to make our group successful. Get involved!


Officer Responsibilities

President

Preside over monthly meetings. Coordinate and schedule board meetings. Seek sponsors and donations. Receive and fill out annual Not-for-Profit papers for the State of Colorado. Provide a monthly "From the Prez" column for the newsletter. Preside over annual elections, including accepting candidates and preparing the paper ballot.

Vice President

Secure meeting facilities and manage all coordination of such. Maintain a list of potential alternate/backup meeting sites. Schedule speakers and topics. Publish presentation/topics calendar to the Webmaster for inclusion on the DAAUG web site. Forward all downloads related to past presentations to the Webmaster.

Secretary/Treasurer/Membership Director

Manage DAAUG checking account. Provide president with bank statement each month. Keep database of all DAAUG members. Receive and process all membership applications. Issue membership renewal notices. Keep track of consultant listing on web site and have webmaster remove names when membership expires. Oversee and manager DAAUG not-for-profit status, including filing official paperwork and keeping necessary records in case of an audit.

Lab/Education Director

Secure lab facilities and manage all coordination of such. Operate the DAAUG lab once per month January through October plus one "Holiday" lab on the first Wednesday after Thansgiving. Report in writing to the president each month regarding attendance and topics discussed.

Librarian

Manage library. Keep Webmaster up-to-date with library contents. Seek out new books, CDs, and videos relating to Microsoft Access. Request Board approval for purchase of new items. Secure book giveaways from Microsoft. Secure magazine giveaways from various magazine and newsletter publishers. Secure donations from local computer book stores.

Communications Director

Publish monthly newsletter. Send out meeting notices and other special notices as required. Manage the DAAUG Website.

You may choose to manage the Website on your own, or coordinate with other DAAUG Board members or DAAUG Board approved individuals. Duties include, but are not limited to the management of presentation schedules, officer contact info, downloads, links, consultant listings and management of the DAAUG.org domain registration.
